Life circumstances (my current excuse for most things) mean I’m still catching up with all the different events the craft-beer community in B.C. has to offer. To whit: I attended my first beer dinner on Tuesday. I noticed a few of these events being announced last year, but since February or so there’s been a real rash of them, with some venues establishing regular series. Expect an explosion during the upcoming Vancouver Craft Beer Week (May 6-14).

For Rogue chef Cory Chapman, the brewmaster's dinner series is a longtime dream fulfilled. Rogue has hosted three brewmaster's dinners this year, and the plan is to do one every month in the new year.
"I have wanted to do this for years, but I've never worked with an ownership group that wanted to do it until now," he said.

"Fabulous!!! We were hosting a bachelorette party and decided Rogue looked to be a bit of a crowd pleaser, something for everyone in a big group, reasonably priced, and yummy vegetarian options. Our server, Pete, was a riot! He played along with all our silly games and was a good sport. Everyone was very pleased with their meals which included; sushi bombs, Fish tacos, chicken wings, salad, falafel... So good!!! Gorgeous room, amazing service, good prices, selection, location.
